In recent years research and knowledge into our life experiences in relation to our emotional states has been boosted by the increased focus on mental health and wellbeing. My personal interest began when at certain times in my life I experienced the feeling of hitting my limits, both in knowledge and also in seeking new ways of feeling balanced. I have found that as life changes we may require new ways of being, in practices and or in releasing and expressing what we are emotionally feeling. Often as humans we find ourselves restricting how we express our emotions because of conditioning, fear and judgement. Emotional intelligence and emotional awareness have been positive in supporting our beliefs that every experience is a lesson, an opportunity to develop and become better. I am an advocate and seeker of allowing personal growth and development for all of your life. The range and depth of our emotions may be the same but understanding comes from how they affect our bodies are not. What level of permission were you given at an early age? what did you observe and how were emotions ever discussed in your family? My first memory of this experience was in my family, we visited my great uncle in a 'mental' home, he had been there since the end of world war 2. It raised many questions within me, however very few answers were ever received, it just was not discussed. I found this a struggle because as a human being I knew the sensations of sensing, feeling, touching, visualising and observing. When I heard that are our emotions are energy in motion at a seminar I had an aha moment, in all my experiences of freedom I felt my mind, body & spirit aligned, as one, in movement.
To step into and own the power and ownership of the emotion, name it, then take actions to release the anger in a constructive and positive way. This is achieved through developing a practice to release emotions for ourselves by ourselves and not towards or against another person.
The advanced levels of responding to anger is empathy and compassion through active listening with powerful closed questions. To hold the space relates to being fully present in the moment, an experiential engagement, a selfless act of allowing another person to be. This will offer the opportunity the feeling/s to be expressed like a wave breaking onto a beach. When we start this at a young age the evolution becomes a force of positive energy. Being able to hold an emotional space is a skill many humans fail at today, choosing instead, through their own levels of discomfort, to initiate a save or a interference. Many media celebrates the victim role play and disempower the persons story by such actions.

Expanded this means we are not broken, we don’t need fixing, all that we need is within us already and once we connect with it we ourselves overcome our circumstances.
Five Core Feelings
When we spend time with other humans and animals we may exchange and respond to their energy in motion. When we at a music concert we also choose to collaborate to create an emotional experience. This is a psychology methodology you may have see in use by speakers such as Tony Robbins. I was once told that it takes more emotional strength to express than repress an emotion, I think that is why I personally enjoy being in the company of humans who emotionally engage and respond to life.
In recent years the Pixar film 'Inside Out' used the characters as emotions: Joy, sadness, anger, fear & disgust. All emotions are derivations of these are the five core feelings.
Emotions involve different components, such as subjective experience, cognitive processes, expressive behaviour, psych-physiological changes, and instrumental behaviour.
Waves of Emotion
When we grow through experiences and do not share them or if we share and experienced cognitive dissonance we learn those survival traits. Many of us have developed our inner strength this way, our resilience and an armour of sorts to protect what we felt internally vs what people expressed externally. We all do this on some level. We live in a conditioned world where people formulate prejudice, stereotypes and discrimination which activate our survival skills. I also like to use the metaphor of the ocean. One day could be a calm sea low tide and another day fierce huge waves, to understand and manage the effects internally is always a work in progress. Through coaching and spiritual development we also discover our triggers and change the way we attract them into our life.

Everything happens below the surface of the sea, we only see the effects of all of the energy and all of the magnificence. On my best day I gain the powers of beauty, calm and intuition and on a trying day fatigue, confusion and changeable emotional energetic waves. If we split the two parts of our emotions into intelligence and awareness we can create a foundation for learning. It is important to grow our awareness of the reactions and how we express/suppress ourselves emotionally. We develop our emotions during our younger years and over time we begin to due to external environments get controlled to reduce and suppress them. Emotions will change unexpectedly and cause surprise, it is always the most beneficial and positive action to share your emotions. Many of us are conditioned to fear negative emotions, yet these are important especially within an intimate relationship. Once we choose to develop and take responsibility for our emotional states/waves we can begin to step into the freedom that emotional awareness brings.

Always know you are born of pure positive energy and your emotions are of vital importance because they relay information to promote the development of self. They provide us a contrast, from positive to negative on the emotional scale. When we know what we don’t want we should focus on knowing and moving towards what we do want.
